-
Keep your kitchen clean. Accidents are more likely to happen around a messy kitchen
-
Keep long sleeves rolled up and long hair tied back
-
Don't cross-contaminate. Have cutting boards you use specifically for raw meats and those for veggies. Wash hands thoroughly after handling raw meats, and don't reuse utensils.
-
Wash your hands often.
-
Keep pan handles pointed away from the hot stove towards your countertops. Teach your kids that even if you've turned the burners off, it will take awhile for them to cool.
-
Do prep work. Having all the ingredients out will minimize the trips to your pantry and refrigerator, and help minimize kitchen accidents.

AND...
Make pepperoni rolls with your kids. They're easy. They're versatile. AND most importantly...They're delicioius. Check online for various versions of the roll. You can make them with or without cheese. With pepperoni slices or pepperoni sticks. With other meats. Heck, even with or without pepperoni! If you don't want to make your own from scratch, buy some frozen yeast rolls and wrap them around pepperoni after they have thawed out, and bake them like you normally would! Quick easy snack!!
