2/21/2012 11:43:55 AM
Fasnacht is pronounced Fosnot. Or Foz Not. Or Faus Knot.  You get it right?  Faaaaahhhhzzznnnnottt.  Anyway, Fasnacht is a doughnut traditionally served the day before Lent starts.  Today will always be Fasnacht Day to Masters Insurance because of this special lady!

Ruthie worked at our agency for years, and every year she still brings in her German version of the fasnacht (yeast dough, deep fried and rolled in sugar). This tradition was passed down by her mother, and Ruthie carries it out to this day; getting up early to deliver her fasnachts to family and friends.  Whatever today is to you, whether it be Fasnacht Day, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Fat Tuesday, Pancake Tuesday, Paczki Day (like Buddy the Elf wished us),Carnaval, or simply the day before Lent, we wish you a happy one!
